Hi ,da,s tea aid in weight loss?

my mum and sister are overweight so they saw something on tv about it.
the tea cost $31.- and will last for 1 month.
i think they are getting ripped of,what do any of you think and have you seen it on tv as i didn,t.
The healthfood shop called it spurellie tea or something like that.
thanks sonja

No No No No No and again No. Don't bother!! Unless someone has a genuine medical condition that prevents them losing weight or they are sedentary through no fault of their own the only way to loose weight goes like this. Firstly if anyone is concerned about their weight then visit your doctor and get some sound advice. Secondly you can try a recognised weight loss programme it does work for some. Thirdly you can try it with friends or by yourself. It isn't rocket science less input -more output. The more calories you burn the better of course. Mild moderate exercise is recommended and a healthy varied diet. Tea is very good for you whether it is black, green, preferably without milk or sugar. There is no magic pill or potion, no one drink that can help anyone loose weight it has to be a combination of liquids and foods in the right balance. Actually taking some of those preparations can cause some long term damage as the body isn't getting the right nutrient. It is absolutely important when loosing weight that people do things properly because you are trying to reverse the damage you have done to yourself. So a good variety of fruit, vegetables, fish, lean meats, low fat dairy, grains, nuts in moderation plus water but no the 2 litres that is recommended. There are lots of fluid in all natural foods.
hope it helped

is the green tea diet healthy and effective?

Posted under diet tea by admin on Tuesday 31 March 2009

So i'm trying to try out the green tea diet.
I'm currently 5`2 and weigh 115. i'm 18.
my goal is to reach 105 which is 10 pounds.

some people told me that 3 days of the green tea diet made them lose about 5 pounds.

I'm planning to do the green tea for about a week or maybe just 5 days.
do i only drink green tea? can i eat other non-fatty foods as well?
how effective is it?

I drink gallons of green tea and it has not helped me lose weight at all. I eat a very healthy diet; no cheese or any other dairy except 1% plain kefir, no refined sugars or flours, no rice, etc., lots of greens. In fact, I've read that caffeine can stimulate your pancreas to secrete insulin, which has a fat preserving effect in the body. Insulin actually slows down fat metabolism. I believe it!

Where can i find Oolong tea?

Posted under oolong tea by admin on Tuesday 31 March 2009

I live in a small city in Saskatchewan, Canada. I'm having trouble finding oolong tea. It's more rare than I thought it was. Where can I find it?

Your best bet would be online. I recently saw some at my local grocer. It was a generic store brand, but none of the major tea makers have oolong. If you live near a cost plus market place or a whole foods market, they'll be sure to have it. Otherwise, online or travel to the nearest big city and call ahead, make sure they carry it. good luck.

Has any one tried the Wu-yi tea to lose weight? How did it work?

Posted under wu-yi tea by admin on Tuesday 31 March 2009

I am considering this tea for a diet aid, is it as good a internet review are on it?

I’m on it now. I didn’t buy it from the “official’ website. Instead I went to a chinese shop and bought some oolong tea which is the same thing with out the fancy brand name. It was about a tenth of the price and tastes better (I tried a cup of the ‘real thing’ at a friend’s house). The one I bought is grown in the fijian mountains/border of China. It says on the box it increases metabolism. I drink it black (instead of standard tea I used to drink) and YES, I believe it works. I have not changed my diet at all and I have lost a couple of kgs in a couple of weeks. Definately recommend it!!
(Search under OOLONG tea, rather than Wu-yi for a better deal!)
